1. About Us

The Squiggle Box is operated by Emma Bronze trading as The Squiggle Box (“we”, “us”, “our”), a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

By purchasing a subscription or product from The Squiggle Box, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase from our website. By placing an order you confirm that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding contract.

If you are purchasing a subscription as a gift for a young person under the age of 18, you as the purchaser remain responsible for the subscription and accept these terms on their behalf.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Subscription Lengths

We offer the following subscription options:

  • 1-month subscription, no minimum commitment, renews monthly
  • 6-month subscription, minimum commitment of 6 monthly payments
  • 12-month subscription, minimum commitment of 12 monthly payments

Your subscription length and any applicable pricing or promotional terms will be clearly shown at checkout. By completing your purchase, you agree to the commitment period selected.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed on the 10th of each month. Payment is taken automatically using the card details provided at sign-up. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment details are kept up to date in your account.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to contact you. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription may be paused or cancelled.

Automatic Renewal

At the end of your commitment period, your subscription will automatically renew on a rolling monthly basis unless you set it to cancel beforehand. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Any promotional pricing or discounts applied at sign-up apply to your initial commitment period only and do not carry over to renewals.

Pricing

Subscription prices are displayed at checkout and are subject to change. We will give you reasonable notice of any price changes before they take effect. Continuing your subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Prepaid Cards

We are unable to accept prepaid credit or debit cards for subscription payments.

4. Cancellations

How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account on our website and following the cancellation steps. You can also contact us directly at hello@thesquigglesociety.com to request a cancellation.

Cancellations must be completed at least 24 hours before your next billing date (the 10th of the month) to avoid being charged for the following month.

1-Month Subscriptions

If you are on a 1-month rolling subscription, you can cancel at any time with no further charges, provided you cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date.

6 and 12-Month Subscriptions

If you have signed up to a 6 or 12-month subscription, you are committing to the full number of monthly payments for that period. You may set your subscription to cancel at any time, but you will continue to be charged and receive boxes for the remainder of your commitment period.

Example: if you are on a 12-month subscription and set your subscription to cancel after your 8th payment, you will still be charged for and receive the remaining 4 boxes before your subscription ends.

Early Cancellation of a Commitment Subscription

If you wish to stop all payments before the end of your commitment period, please contact us at hello@thesquigglesociety.com. Early cancellation may result in:

  • The loss of any introductory discount applied at sign-up, with the difference charged at the standard rate for boxes already received
  • A charge to recover the cost of any free gift received as part of your sign-up offer

We will always make any charges clear to you before processing them.

No Refunds on Processed Payments

No refund will be issued for any payment already processed, including where you have forgotten to cancel before your renewal date.

5. Refunds & Returns

We want you to love your Squiggle Box! Each one is carefully packed, but if something isn't right, please get in touch and we'll always do our best to help.

How to Report an Issue

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 30 days of delivery at hello@thesquigglesociety.com with your order number and a photo of the issue.

What We Can Help With

Because of the nature of our subscription and creative products, we only accept returns or issue refunds for items that arrive damaged or defective.

We're unable to offer returns or refunds if:

  • You've changed your mind
  • The box or items have been opened or used (unless they are damaged or incomplete)
  • You received your box as part of a subscription and it arrived in good condition

Approved Returns & Refunds

If your return or refund is approved, we'll arrange either a replacement or a refund to your original payment method within 14 days.

Missing Boxes

If your box has not arrived, please contact us within 30 days of the expected dispatch date. We will investigate with our delivery partner and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Your Statutory Rights

Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if your goods are faulty you have the right to a full refund within 30 days of receiving them. This applies even if the box has been opened. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you also have a 14-day right to cancel an online order from the date you receive it, provided the goods have not yet been used or opened.

If you're unsure whether your situation is covered, please contact us and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Dispatch

Boxes are dispatched on or around the 26th of each month. You will receive an automated shipping notification email once your box has been sent. Please allow the estimated delivery window stated in your shipping notification before contacting us.

Delivery Address

It is your responsibility to ensure your delivery address is correct and up to date in your account before dispatch. We are unable to redirect boxes once they have been sent.

Delivery Partners

We use third-party delivery companies to ship your box. Once your box has been handed to our delivery partner, tracking is managed by them. We are not responsible for delays caused by the delivery company, but please do contact us if you experience any issues and we will do our best to help.

Failed Delivery

If your box is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempts, we will contact you. Re-delivery may incur an additional postage charge.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are included in your subscription price unless otherwise stated at checkout.

7. Add-On Products

We offer optional add-on products that can be purchased separately or added to your monthly box. These are offered on a one-off purchase basis and are not part of your recurring subscription unless stated otherwise.

Add-on products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any add-on product at any time. Orders for add-on products must be placed before the packing deadline communicated in our emails.

Add-on product sales are subject to the same refund and returns policy as subscriptions. If an add-on product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 14 days.

8. Product Disclaimer

The Squiggle Box contains creative and wellbeing items intended for adult use. The contents are not a substitute for professional therapeutic support, medical advice, or mental health treatment.

Some boxes may contain small parts or items that are not suitable for young children. It is your responsibility to keep box contents away from children and animals unless the item is suitable for their use.

If you have specific sensitivities, allergies, or other concerns about box contents, please contact us before subscribing so we can advise you.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on thesquigglebox.com, including text, images, branding, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to The Squiggle Box. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content from this site without our prior written permission.

10. Privacy & Data

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By subscribing or purchasing from us, you agree to the use of your data as described in that policy.

We use Subbly to manage subscriptions and Mailchimp for email communications. Your data may be shared with these third-party platforms as necessary to provide our service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our service after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
